Review #293; Scotch #104: Clynelish 23yr 1995 Signatory Vintage K&L Select

S.V. Clynelish 23 yr K&L Exclusive 1995

This is a single cask, picked by K&L. It was aged in a 2nd fill Sherry butt and bottled at cask strength and with no chill filtering. This is a birth year bottle for me (young, young I say!) so let’s see if its as awesome as I am.

ABV: 56.1%

Nose: Strong Raisins, honey, Baked short bread, allspice.

Palate: Medium waxy mouthfeel, Honey, Strong Figs and Raisins. Black pepper, slight citrus, malty.

Finish: Long finish, honey, figs, pepper, malty citrus, allspice. Warm and lingering.

Rating: 8/10

This sample rocked, I wish I could get a full bottle, Strong malty notes, great barrel influence, but not too overpowering. This is an outstanding Clynelish, and is a great example of what sherry bombs have to offer. Clynelish continues to perform well for me.
