Review #287; Bourbon #88: Henry McKenna 10yr Single Barrel

Henry Mckenna 10 SiB

This is a sample that I reviewed, and then was revealed the bottle afterward, so keep that in mind.

ABV: 50%

Nose: Caramel, toffee, oak spice, slight tobacco leaf, cherry.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, dry. Strong oak, toffee, black pepper, peanut,

Finish: Medium length, Oak Spice, tobacco leaf, slight cherry.

Rating: 7/10

Guess: I would guess this to be a 10-13 years old bourbon, 50%-54% abv, from Wild Turkey?

Reveal: Henry Mckenna 10 Year

Well, I was pretty blown away by this SiB. I can see why it got so popular and hard to fine after a certain group of people decreed it the best thing ever. This particular barrel was enjoyable.

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.

9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Perfect | Perfect
