
Review #1332; Rum #637
This rum comes from the Pacheco family Sol Tarasco in Uruapan, Michoacán. This rum is made from fresh pressed cane juice of the Mayari varietal that is estate grown at 4,000 feet above sea level. The sugarcane is pressed by a water powered mill and fermented in the air for at least 10 days. It is then distilled twice in a 1,000 liter, wood fired, copper pot still before being bottled with no additives.

Finish: Medium length finish, Earthy, Chlorine Pool Water, Lemon
Rating: 3/10
Not a fan. This smacks you in the face with overly chorine pool water and not much else is able to get by that once you get past the nose which has some nice notes. I still think the standard Uruapan blend release is significantly better than this. I’ll have to see how the rest of this single Agricola line fares.
