Review #1449; Rum #749
Here we have a bottle of rum from Mexican producer Uruapan. This rum was distilled from single estate Caña Mexicana sugarcane, fermented in the open with wild yeast for one to two week, and bottled with no additives.
Distillery: Sol Tarasco
Bottler: Uruapan
Region: Mexico
Still: Pot
ABV: 49%
Nose: Earthy, Lemon, Brine, Bell Pepper
Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Earthly, Lemon, Damp Basement, Brine
Finish: Short Finish, Earthy, Lemon, Damp Basement, Brine
Rating: 3/10
Yeah this one misses the mark for me. Too much of that damp basement overpowers anything nice going on here for me.
