Review #1120; Rum #441
Saint Nicholas Abbey is a rum distillery located on Barbados. This rum is pot and column distilled from cane syrup and bottled with no filtration. The rum then rests in stainless steel for 3 months before being bottled Saint Nicholas Abbey is a very small producer in scale when compared to the other distilleries on the island, so let us see how it stacks up.

This is fine. There is a good base distillate here to me, and it has a bit of character. But, the 40% bottling proof really hides that flavor. I know there is a higher proof bottling where these flavors pop I would think. But, a fine rum, if a bit pricey, but that is how rum from SNA tends to be given they use their own cane and are such a small scale producer.
