Rum bar silver is a molasses based rum that is distilled at Worthy Park Estate, located in St.Catherine Parish Jamaica. This rum is made from molasses from Worthy Park sugar Factory’s cane that is grown on the Estate. This bottling is a blend of 3 Marques, WPL, WPEL, and WPE. It is distilled on a pot still and bottled at 40% with no ageing or additives.

Nose: Banana Bread, faint olives, pineapple, a hint of glue, lime juice
Palate: A bit thin, pineapple, bananas, olive oil, vanilla, pepper
Finish: Short, vanilla, pineapple, bananas, lime juice
Rating: 5/10
Though some may seem to scoff at a “5” a look down on that score, this rum is great at what it’s meant to do. That is of course be a workhorse in cocktails and that is what the majority of this bottle has gone to. Though it comes in at 40% abv, if you approach this with a fresh palate it brings quite a surprising amount of flavor even at its pedestrian bottling proof.
