Review #1254; Rum #561
Here we have a bottling from Roaming Roads Spirits. Roaming Roads Spirits is a new independent bottler founded by Mike Gilmore, owner of Country Lane Liquor in Wyoming. . Mike is bringing his years of experience selling and tasting spirits to found Roaming Road, an independent bottler that will bottle single cask Rums, Cognacs, Armagnacs, and who knows what else going forward.
This is a 17-year-old rum from Belize, likely from Travellers distillery. This molasses rum was distilled on a column still and aged for 17 years in an ex-bourbon cask before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

This is a very good rum. The oak is well balanced and there is a great blend of savory, spice, and sweet here. Not much else to say here for me. A very good rum that falls into that Foursquare ECS 12 Year kind of vein for me, but I find those to be a bit better.
