Review#225; American Single Malt #2: Big Bottom 2yr

This is an American Single Malt Whiskey from Big Bottom a distillery located in Hillsboro Oregon. I had this blind so keep that in mind.

Mercc Mystery 8

Getting to the end of the mysteries from this user, I have 3 more to go after this so lets press on!

ABV: ?????

Nose: Tart Plums, Baking Spice, Honey, Cereals, malty.

Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Tart plums, berries, honey, slight vanilla, mocha note at the end.

Finish: Mocha, dark chocolate, slight honey. Buttered biscuit slightly.

Rating: 3/10

The mocha things going on in this throws off the whole flavor profile for me. It just is really unpleasant overall. It makes me think of Balcones.

Guess: Balcones single Malt, Between 50-54% abv, 4-6 years old.

Reveal: Big Bottom, American Single Malt 2 year

Sigh: Another crappy underaged craft American whiskey offering. I’d like to see this with more age and an ex-cask of some kind.
