Review #99; Scotch #20: Caol Ila 11yr G&M Cask Strength

Background: This is an 11 year old Caol ila bottling from IB Gordon and Macphail. It was aged in First Fill ex-bourbon barrels.

ABV: 54.1%

Nose: Peat, a king of sweetish peat, smoke, vanilla, salt, hint of grass.

Palate: Oily mouthfeel, BBQ esque peat, vanilla, smoke that lingers, hint of berries

Finish: Medium long, creamy vanilla, peat, smoke, hint of ash, and oak.

This is good, a nice mix of flavors. Nothing mind blowing to me at least this is easy to drink and hits all the right notes
