Review #96; Bourbon #43: Wild Turkey Master Keep Decades

This is a NCF limited release by wild turkey with a blending of bourbons ranging from 10-20 years old (TTB and labeling laws be damned!). Lets see how it compares to the MK 17

Batch 2

Bottle 23,350

ABV: 52%

Nose: Spicyness, oak, black pepper, caramel, cherry. Nose is pretty muted for proof

Palate: Oak, leather, spice, vanilla, tobacco. Bit of funk.

Finish: Oak, leather, vanilla, black pepper and spice. This is more typical of what you expect from WT, whereas the 17 was sweeter and mellow this is full on Oak, Spice, and funk. It would depend on what you want in your bourbon and your mood but tonight I think the Decades edges out the 17 by a hair.

However again, this falls into the range of the MSRP ($140-150) is too high and I would rather grab a good RRSiB pick instead of this.
