Review #95; Bourbon #42: Wild Turkey Master Keep 17yr

This is the oldest Wild Turkey released yet, being aged for 17 years. The unusually low proof is due to being aged in a cool and damp environment.

Batch No.1

Bottle No. 36,873

ABV: 43.4%

Nose: Pepper spice, caramel sweetness, cherry, oak, tobacco, underlying candy sweetness to it all.

Palate: Oaky, but not too much oak. Caramel sweetness, typical “Wild Turkey” spice with a hint of their funk, musty, you can tell the age in this. Decently balanced and a bit creamy. Vanilla and oak show out on the back end

Finish: Medium to short. A creamy vanilla finish dominates, hints of oak, citrus, some cherry and spice finish it all up.

This is interesting and different to me, I actually find it pretty tasty. But for the price point I would rather buy a couple RRSiB. But I don’t let prices affect my scores.
