I did not go into this expecting to enjoy this rum as much as I did yet here we are. The star here is the clear DDL backbone, slightly smoky burnt caramel coats the palate and finish. It brings the flavor punch. Accents of the other rums pop in to help accentuate the flavors as well, tropical fruits, spices, and some vanilla round it all together.
