Background: I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my notes. This is a 15 year old Cask strength Armagnac from Tariquet that uses 100% Folle Blanche grapes.
ABV: 47.2%
Nose: Very sweet nose, fruits mainly grapes, some berries, oak,
Palate: Medium lightish mouthfeel, Tangy, sweet, grapes, oak, black tea, warm, leaves a dry tangy coating
Finish: Medium long. Fruits, oak, honey, some pepper/black tea finish Overall decent, good flavor balance, but nothing mindblowing.
Rating: 6/10
Guess: Yak of some kind, 20-24 years, 48-50% proof
Reveal: Tarquet 15 year, folle blanche 47.2%
Well, I was a bit wrong, but not sure how to judge age on this spirit. Overall not bad, especially considering the price!
