This is a bottling of the Buffalo Trace Antique collection from 2019. This is a straight rye whiskey that has been aged for just over 6 years. It was filled in 2013 at 125 proof and bottled at 125.7 proof. This was was bottled at cask strength with no additives.

ABV: 62.85%

Nose: Spearmint, pine, Green Apple, Peppery, Crème Brulee,

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Spearmint, Green Apple, Pine, Shortbread, Peppery, Lemon Curd

Finish: Longer finish, Spear Mint, Green Apple, Pine, Peppery, Shortbread, Lemon Curd

Rating: 7/10

This marks the 3rd BTAC I’ve had but the only THH I have tried. This hits those rye notes I like and does them very well. This is a tasty rye, one that is hitting the spot on this bitterly cold night.

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.

9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Perfect | Perfect
