Review #92; Scotch #19: Bowmore 2001 12yr Exclusive Malts

Background: This is a single barrel Bowmore, bottled by an Signatory Vintage. It was aged for 12 years in a refill sherry cask before being bottled at cask strength with no color added, and was non-chill filtered. I had this blind then was revealed the bottle so keep that in mind reading my notes.

ABV: 59.1%

Nose: Warm, sweet bbqesuqe peat, honey, figs, berry hint.

Palate: Peat, figs, berries, heat, sherry, allspice

Finish: Long, peaty, sweet, sherry, honey This Is a good balance of the flavors, peat and sherry well, and I would not mind a bottle price dependent.

Rating: 7/10

Guess: This is a 12-18 year old sherry finished peat offering, Olroso or PX.

Reveal: Bowmore 2001 12 year Exclusive Malts Refill Sherry Cask
