Review #912; Brandy #41: Version Francaise Chateau De La Beroje 1995

Version Francaise Chateau De La Beroje 1995

Disclosure: I received this set of samples from the Importers at La Masion & Velier for review.

This comes to us from La Masion Du Whisky as this is their line dedicated to French Spirits with this expression being Armagnac. Chateau de la Beroje is located in Grand-Bas-Armagnac and owned by Raymond Crombez de Montmort. This single cask was distilled in 1995, aged for a long period of time (27ish years) and bottled with no additives.

ABV: 42%

Nose: Punchy, Raisins, Ripe Raspberries, Blackberry Jam, Cinnamon

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Raisins, Black Pepper, Blackberry, Cinnamon, Allspice, Rancio

Finish: Medium length finish, Rancio, Black Pepper, Blackberry, Allspice, Figs

Rating: 7/10

Another great expression in this line, this one leans way harder into the spicy notes and balances them out with a good amount of fruits. Way different in flavor profile but still great and just bursting with flavor at 42%. Another real winner.
