Jean-Luc Pasquet Lot 75 – Aficionados x Finedrams

This single cask of old Cognac comes to us by way of Jean-Luc Pasquet, a producer based in the village of Saint-Preuil in the Grande Champagne region. This was bottled at cask strength with no additives after being in Oak for a long time. This was a collaboration between the Aficionados and Finedrams.

ABV: 54.2%

Nose: Raspberry, Allspice, Apple Skin, Orange Peel, Slight Marzipan.

Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Orange Peel, Vanilla, Allspice, Marzipan, Sweet Oakspice.

Finish: Medium length finish, Oak Spice, Orange Peel, Black Pepper, Vanilla.

Rating: 6/10

A very good Cognac. Nice fruit presence with a hint of spice to balance it out. While very good it doesn’t quite rise to the greatness of the other two selections of these JLP, but still a very nice Cognac to drink.
