This rum comes to us from Richland Estate, a rum distillery located in Georgia. This single estate rum was selected by Seelbachs for their website. This particular cask was aged for 8 years and 5 months, with 11 months of that timeframe being finished in Terrapin Beer Company Tiramisu-Hoo Milk Stout casks that had previously held Richland Rum. Bottled at cask strength with no additives, let’s see how it held up.

Big, Bold, And Desserty. I can see how this would come across as a touch sweet for some but I think the big bold oak notes help to reel it in. Big Brownies with Vanilla on top vibes here, some fruits and coconut as well. The nuttiness and oak spice really help to tie it all together. Its one of the more interesting American rums I’ve had and I will admit to being shocked how well this Stout Cask Finish worked with the rum. A big win for me, though the price tag is a touch high for me personally.
