Review #82; Scotch #15: Glendronach Single Cask 21yr 1995

Background: This is a single barrel of Glendronach from the Glendronach distillery. It was aged for 21 years in an Oloroso Sherry Butt before being bottled at cask strength with no color added and was non chill filtered. This was bottled for La Masion Du Whisky & The Nectar.

ABV: 56.4%

Nose: Hint of musty, sherry, dry but sweet, figs, berries, malty. Note is a bit muted.

Palate: Thick, oily. Sweet sherry, figs, berries, a bit dry, vanilla, dark chocolate. This is sweet and delicious and very powerfully in flavor.

Finish: Long, sweet sherry and figs mix with creamy vanilla with a hint of heat.

A wonderful and delicious dessert dram that I could easily kill a bottle in not time.
