Review #815; American Single Malt #13: Del Bac Dorado

This whiskey comes to us by way of Whiskey Del Bac, a craft distiller located in Arizona that specializes in American Single Malt. This whiskey is made from 100% barley that is malted and smoked over a mesquite fire, mashed, fermented, copper pot distilled, then aged in Arizona. Bottled with no additives or chill filtering, this is sure to be unique.

Rating: 6/10

Quite impressive, this smokeiness is awesome and reminds me of a summer BBQ, but the chocolate notes take me to a fall campfire and enjoying some smores. Loads of mouthfeel and finish for 45% as well. The American Single Malt community has some good whiskey being made and this distillery is among them. Good work.
