Review #81; Scotch #14: Malts of Scotland Laphroaig 12yr 2006

Background: This is a single cask Laphroaig, bottled for Malts of Scotland. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2017 in a sherry Hogshead.

ABV: 53.1%

Nose: Fruits at first, sherry influence jumps out, peat, some honey, vanilla, cherries, and grapes. Well balanced

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Vanilla, peat, medicinal notes, bit of heat, dark chocolate, allspice. Citrus hints, black pepper.

Finish: Medium length, Peat, creamy vanilla, berries, and allspice. Well balanced, delicious, and now I wish I had a bottle. A fine dram and good expression of Peat and Sherry.
