Review #779; Bourbon #164: Belle Meade Spanish Brandy Finish

This is a finished bourbon from Belle Meade distillery. Likely sourced from MGP and finished for an unknown amount of time in said Spanish Brandy Barrels. There is no age statement, so lets see how it is.

I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my notes.

ABV: 59.4%

Nose: Tobacco Leaf, Black Pepper, Green Apple, Blackberry

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Green Apple, Tobacco leaf, BlackBerry, Dirty Vanilla

Finish: Medium length finish, Green Apple, Black Pepper, Tobacco Leaf, Dirty Vanilla Rating: 6/10 Overall, this is fine. Good base flavor, I like the big savory notes it has but it does not stand out way too much to me.

Guess: Four Roses, Store Pick, OESK, 52-55% abv, 8-10 years old?

Reveal: Belle Meade Spanish Brandy Finish, 59.4%, Distillery Release.

Man I was off on it all. Blind tasting is so damn hard. But a very good release, nice for a cold winter night.
