Background: This is an aged corn whiskey from Heaven Hill. This corn whiskey has been aged for at least 4 years in used bourbon barrels before being bottled. This was given to me blind then I was revealed the bottle, so keep that in mind when reading my notes.
ABV: 50%
Nose: Very Sweet, Maltiness, Corn, vanilla, tons of sweet corn.
Palate: Medium mothfeel, oily texture. Coating mouthfeel. Corn, Vanilla cream, marshmellow candy, dry sweetness that lingers.
Finish: Short, oak, corn, and vanilla.
This is pretty easy to drink, not complex but sweet and easy. Would love to throw in a glass as a nice background whiskey and sip or in a mixer.
Rating: 5/10
Guess: Mellow. Corn. Bottled. IN. Bond.
Reveal: Mellow Corn Bottled In Bond
I had been waiting to try this for awhile and its not mind blowing in any way but it is and would be a nice bottle to have on hand. Good straightforward flavors that I enjoy.
