Review #744; Rum #183: Renegade Pre-Cask Dunfermline (Column Still)

This rum comes to us from the Renegade rum distillery located in Grenada. These “pre-cask” rums are unaged, fresh pressed sugarcane juice rums that have been distilled on a pot still or column still. Each bottling comes from a different farm and cane varietal on Grenada in order to explore the terroir of the spirit and the island.

This cane code can be used on Renegades website to access the nerdiest rum page you can imagine about this bottling, so I have included it for you here.

I will add of the two Dunfermline this one is the Column still

Cane Code: PC06H20-C1

Rating: 6/10

This is a very good offering from Renegade. I like the fruits and the big spiciness that comes out with this one. It doesn’t have the rich minerality of the other 2 I have tried so far, which brings it down just a little bit for me. Still, this is a very good well made rum that I wish was sold in the U.S.
