This is a Ron that comes to us from San Juan Artisan distillery located in Puerto Rico. This is sugarcane Juice from estate grown cane that is doubled distilled on copper pot stills before being bottled with no additives.

ABV: 43%

Nose: Minerality, Vegetalness, Earthy, Green Apple

Palate: Light mouthfeel. Vegetalness, Minerality, Earthy, Lime Zest, Green Apple

Finish: Short Finish, Minerality, Lemon Zest, Green Apple, Slight salt.

Rating: 5/10

This is some good ron they are producing down at San Juan distillery. The flavors pop, there is a nice bit of depth and you really get some interesting flavors I think come from the terrior they are working with in Puerto Rico. The only real knock on this ron for me is the 43% abv. Bump it up to 46 or 50% and I think I would enjoy it a lot more. That being said, this is still a good rum that is worth picking up just to see what Puerto Rican Ron (non-Bacardi) can be made.
