Review #69; Scotch #13: Macallan Classic Cut 2017

Background: This is a yearly release from Macallan. It has been Matured exclusively in oak casks seasoned with Sherry from Jerez, Spain and bottled at a higher % than most Macallan.

ABV: 58.4%

Nose: Sweet fruits, figs, berries, sherry, honey. Hint of Sulphur. Dark Chocolate and sweet baking spices.

Palate: Dried sweet fruits, baking spices, sherry and figs. Brown sugar and dark chocolate. Orange citrus and oak. Little bit of heat but not too bad. Lots of complex flavors going on in here.

Finish: Long, creamy vanilla, orange citrus, oak, and brown sugar.

This is great. This is a dessert drink. Tons of great sweet flavors that are well balanced throughout that you keep finding good flavors in. Wish I had a bottle of this.
