Review #683; Brandy #21: Jean-Luc Pasquet Lot 92 – Aficionados x Finedrams Selection

This Cognac comes from producer Jean-Luc Pasquet. This lot 92 was bottled in 2019 and has formidable age on it as a result. Coming at cask strength with no additives by the Aficionados in conjunction with Fine Drams this is another brandy selection from the group I am sure is worth trying. Let us see how well they chose.

ABV:61.4%

Nose: Plums, Raisins, Rich fig, nutmeg, Orange Peel, Red Apple black pepper.

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel. Burst of Raisin, nutmeg, fig, Red apple, cracked black pepper, slight dark chocolate

Finish: Medium length finish. Pop of Fig, Red Apple, nutmeg, raisin, slight dark chocolate

Rating: 7/10

This is a great Brandy. The fruits are bright and pop out all over while the slight spice and oak balance it out while still maintaining the very fruity core flavor. The oak is not overburden with the amount of time this likely spent in the cask as well, and it drinks very well for the proof. With the amount of bottles left at this time of writing (13) if you are a fan these styles of brandy you had better snag this one up while it is still available.
