This rum comes to us from South African rum distiller Mhoba. This particular batch was made from fresh cane juice of Nkomazi sugarcane all of which was grown on the Mhoba Sugar Estate. It is a blend of different cuts from distillation off a pot still.

Overall, this is a very good rum in the family of unaged cane juice rums. It’s very clean, briney, a touch fishy with some raw sugar cane notes and slight fruit notes to really round it out. It stands out a little for me in the cane juice rum area with how intense some of these flavors are, and I think this would work very well in your standard cane juice rum cocktails. All in all, I wish they sold this in the U.S so I could get my hands on a bottle.
