Review #642; Gin #18: Edinburgh Gin

This gin is made using 14 botanicals that are infused into the new make over 3 days. This is their base gin of their line, which has a number of gins with different botanicals, and fruits added to make gin based liqueurs. Let us see how it holds up on its own.

ABV: 43%

Nose: Classic Piney Juniper, Lemon Zest, Orange Peel, cinnamon, black pepper, Herbaceous

Palate: Lighter creamy mouthfeel, pine, lemon zest, black pepper, herbaceous

Finish: Short finish. Pop of black pepper, pine, lemon zest, orange peel, vanilla

Rating: 5/10

Overall, a very solid gin. Nice base flavors, good spiciness to it with some fruits and classic pine. It’s pretty much what you expect from a gin. Nothing to be wowed by, but nothing disappointing either.
