Review #640; Gin #17: Watershed Guild Gin

This is a gin from craft distillery Watershed located in Columbus Ohio. This gin was created in partnership with the restaurant Guild House to provide them with a house gin for their use. This gin is made with the use of macerated dried Chamomile flowers post distillation.

ABV: 44%

Nose: Apple, Floralness, Honey, faint vanilla, pine.

Palate: Light mouthfeel, floralness, honey, apple, pine.

Finish: Short, pop of floral, apple, black pepper, honey

Rating: 5/10

Simple, but different. This is a little light on the simple flavors but it is decent enough to sip neat though I am sure it is intended as a workhorse gin for cocktails where I could see it shining. Overall, just fine.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.
