Review #608; Bourbon #143: 1792 Bottled in Bond

This is a bottling from brand 1792 which is the Barton distillery. This has no age statement, no mashbill, but we do know that it is at least 4 years and old and bottled at 50% abv due to being labeled Bottled in Bond.

ABV: 50%

Nose: Cherry, vanilla, slight black pepper

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Vanilla, cherry, black pepper, slight tannins.

Finish: Shorter finish. Vanilla, cherry, black pepper.

Rating: 5/10

This is fine. It has decent flavors, and hits all the notes you want in a classic bourbon. For the price I can see someone being very satisfied with this. For me, it just doesn’t stand out from the crowd.
