The nose has good stuff going on in it, but then you take a sip and are met with a whirlwind of flavors. Tropical fruits, earthiness, leather, deep rich spices, vegetalness, star anise, slight smoke. This in an incredibly complex and rich rum. The notes play off each other very well, the heat is well behaved, and this is just a wonderful and fantastic rum.
