Review #584; American Single Malt #5: New Holland Zeppelin Blend

This is an American single malt whiskey made by New Holland Brewing Company. It is aged in New American Oak with a heavy char. It has no age statement.

I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my notes.

ABV: 45%

Nose: Honey, Hay, vanilla, green apple

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Honey, green apple, hay, faint vanilla

Finish: Medium length finish. Warm Green apple, vanilla, honey, slight hay.

Rating: 6/10

Overall, good flavors and very pleasant and enjoyable. This dram is a bit on the lighter side, but in a way that works really well with the warm weather. This is one to throw in your glass and sip on a warm summer or spring da. The honey and green apple really shine through here, the main knock on this one is proof, mouthfeel, and lack of complexity.

Guess: 46-48% ABV, Single Malt, refill sherry cask, 6-9 years old. Arran?

Reveal: Zeppelin Bend Single Malt Whiskey . What in tarnation, I am shocked. This was not terrible which is surprising to me. In fact I rather liked it.
