Review #58; Rye #14: High West Double Rye Big Red Liquors Pick

Background: High West Double Rye: Big Red Liqours Store Pick

Barrel #: 4417

Finished for 1.4 years in a used Barrel Aged Manhattan Barrel

HW Double rye is a blend of Rye whiskies, Blend of 2 rye whiskeys: 2 & 16 year from MGP and Barton.

ABV: 50.9%

Nose: Rye Spice, hint of dill, cherries, apples, hint of vermouth.

Palate: Rye spice, sweet vermouth, apples, grassiness, bit of pop. Complex and a little warm but not overpowering. Well balanced.

Finish: Medium length, Rye Spice, sweetness and apples.

This is interesting, the Manhattan properties mix with the young rye well. Quite enjoyable to drink .
