This is an aged Clairin from the Casimir producer. It was aged in an ex-Caroni cask for 16 months before being bottled. Let’s see how it turned out.
ABV: 50.3%
Nose: Black Pepper, oak spice, vanilla frosting.
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Motor Oil, light black pepper, oak spice.
Finish: Short finish. Black Pepper, light motor oil, faint grass.
Rating: 5/10
I wanted to like this more, but it just left me wanting more all over. It has some good flavors in there, but it never really rises to anything. I have not had the Casimir base spirit, but I feel like all I get is faint barrel influence. This may be for you, but compared to the Caroni Sajous this is a let down.
