This one is a tasty bourbon. Lots of savory pepper, spices, some must, it has hints of toffee sweetness and chocolate throughout. The only thing that brings this one down a bit is the oakiness, as it’s a bit overwhelming at times. Overall, though, this is a great bourbon and Four Roses Barrel Strength will continue to be one of my favorite expressions regardless of recipe. This is such a low proof too, which makes it really interesting to me.
