Review #464; Bourbon #112: Smooth Ambler Old Scout 5yr

This is a bourbon from Smooth Ambler, it is a 5 year old, sourced MGP whiskey. This is their new line of young MGP bourbons for their standard shelf offerings, and was non chill filtered and non carbon filtered. I had this blind so keep that in mind when reading my notes.

ABV: 49.5%

Nose: Tame, light funk, slight must, vanilla, flinstone vitamins

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, chalk, flinstone vitamins, slight minerality, tobacco leaf.

Finish: Short, warm. Vitamins, minerality, slight vanilla, slight chocolate, chalk

Rating: 5/10

Guess: 48-52% ABV, 8-10 Years, Tennessee based distillate. Some kind of Dickel pick?

6 | Very Good | A cut above.
