Background: I had this blind then was revealed the bottle so keep that in mind. This bottling comes to us from the Tobermory distillery. This Ledaig was aged for 13 years then finished in an Amontillado Sherry cask before being bottled at cask strength with no chill filtering.
ABV: 59.2%
Nose: Peat, Rich Dark Fruits, grapes maybe, honeycomb, Ethanol, Plums. Peat and Wine Influence
Palate: Medium Mouth Feel, Peat and fruits blend together with some baking spices and the honey with a lingering warm oak.
Finish: Long, Warm, Peat mixes well with the fruits and baking spices that lingers for a while in a tasty combo. Good, well balanced. Delicious. Would consider buying a bottle
Reveal: Ledaig 13 Amontillado Finish
Rating: 7/10
Well this was good, drank dangerously under its proof but I could keep coming back to it. Complex and savory
