7 Year
I tried this blind, so keep that in mind while reading these notes.
This is a 7ish year old WFP private barrel, bottled for a private group.
ABV: 57% ABV
Nose: Brown Sugar Bomb, Ethanol, oak spice, pepper, tobacco leaf, light funk.
Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel. Warm, Pepper, Brown Sugar, Caramel, nice oak structure, slight funk, vanilla cream.
Finish: Long finish. Warm and moist, good oak spice, tobacco leaf, brown sugar, black pepper.
Rating: 8/10
Guess: Well balanced, and hits the savory notes I like in bourbon with just the right amount of sweet. High proof as well so I would guess Cask Strength. 10+ years old, 55-58% abv. Four Roses PS?
This was revealed to be the WFP Private Select Well I was good on the proof but way off on the age and producer. Still this was fantastic and would love to drink this particular barrel all day.
