Background: This bourbon from Jim beam was aged for 14 years and selected by a group of tasters for Opa’s, a bar in Delaware Ohio.
ABV: 60%
Nose: Heavy Caramel, mellow, oak background with a soft vanilla around it.
Palate: Thick, oily, viscous. Caramel up front that fades into oak, peanuts, pepper and a hint of baking spices. A little bit of heat from the proof but not over powering.
Finish: Medium length. Warm dry leather fades into a nice mix of oak, vanilla, and baking spices.
Rating: 8/10
