Review #397; Mezcal #30: Nuestra Soledad Stgo. Matalan

This is the 5th and final of this limited series of Nuestra bottlings, and is a 100% espadin bottling like the others in the line. So let’s see how well it performs.

Mezcalero: Valentin Cortes y Gregorio Martinez

ABV: 45% ABV

Nose: Peppery, Spicy, Earthy, Mesquite, Brine, light campfire smoke

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Warm, Mesquite, peppery, light clean campfire smoke,

Finish: Medium length, warm. Peppery, Mesquite, Brine, light clean campfire smoke.

Rating: 6/10

Nice clean smoke, nice complexity and good flavors in there. Overall, this line is impressive. The worst showing was good, with all of the others performing as above average and one being great. This is a line you can trust to put out a good product that is well worth your dollars.
