I was took these notes blind and then was revealed the bottle so keep that in mind while reading this.
This is an offering from Jim Bean, consisting of a mashbill of 63% corn, 27% rye, and 10% malted barley. Its thought to be around 6 years old and should be close to barrel strength.
ABV: 57%
Nose: allspice, oak spice, “dry”, slightly tannic,
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Sawdust, tannins, black pepper. I feel like Im being hit in the face with an oak stave.
Finish: Incredibly short, heat, sawdust, slight vanilla, tannins, black pepper.
Rating: 1/10
Guess: Young, 2-4 years old. Between 45-50% abv, some kind of bourbon I would guess.
