Review #380; Scotch #145: Clynelish 23yr 1995 Single Cask Nation

This is a bottling of Clynelish form American IB Single Cask Nation. This Clynelish was aged for 23 years in a 2nd fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, then bottled at cask strength with no color added and was non-chill filtered.

ABV: 52.4%

Nose: Strong Dark Fruits, Figs, Plums, Blackberries. Allspice, Nutmeg.

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel. Waxy, Figs, Plums, Blackberries. Nutmeg, honeycomb, sight dark chocolate.

Finish: Medium length, warm and moist. Figs, Blackberries, Allspice, Dark Chocolate.

Rating: 9/10

This is a drink that has great richness, complexity and depth to it. Fruity, with some good savory flavors thrown in there, this is one that if I had a full bottle of would disappear pretty quickly, even at its price point.
