Review #37; Bourbon #21: Rock Hill Farms

Background: Rock Hill Farms is a single barrel bourbon from Buffalo Trace. Sporting the number 2 mashbill this is another in the line of Ancient Age and Blanton’s. I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my notes.

ABV: 50%

Nose: Sweet oak, baking spices, vanilla frosting, hint of fruit heavy honeycomb, much more upfront on all these than the previous sample.

Palate: Thick and full, spices, vanilla and honey that fades into a great oak and black pepper spiciness

Finish: Frosting, baking spices into a nice oak

Rating: 7/10

Guess: I have no idea, but this was pretty good, I would guess some high rye mash-bill that is 10 years old

Reveal: Rock Hill Farms
