This is a brandy from producer Germain-Rboin. They took a brandy and then infused it with dark cherry. Infused with fresh and dried pie cherries (Montmorencies ) and a small amount of ripe Bings. Let’s see how it holds up.
ABV: 40.7%
Nose: Strong dark cherry, light orange citrus, light vanilla,
Palate: Medium mouthfeel, syrupy, dark cherry. Slight raisins and citrus.
Finish: Medium length, cough syrup esque, dark cherry. Orange Citrus, raisins.
Rating: 4/10
Not a bad product at all, very straightforward with its flavors, the cough syrupiness on the finish brings it down a hair. Some might like it less due to that, but the strong cherries, and easy to throw in a glass and drink make it a good product. If you can get it for $15, like when K&L had it on sale for that price, well you may just need to grab a few bottles.
