Review #351; Bourbon #99: OWA SiB “Fine Wine’s Goods and Spirits” Selection

This is a SiB pick for the Fine Wines Goods and Spirits Store. Old Weller Antique is one of the hyped and tatered “Wheaters” that Buffalo Trace Makes. Let’s see how this store chose.

ABV: 53.5%

Nose: Cherry, Cinnamon Hots, Vanilla, Wheat Funk

Palate: Medium Mouthfeel. Cinnamon hots, slight cherry, heat, astringent.

Finish: Short. Heat, Cinnamon, slight vanilla, Cherry. Unbalanced.

Rating: 3/10

This is hot and unbalanced. I’m in general not a fan of OWA but this is just not very good. It’s a hot cinnamon bomb without much good going for it.
