This is an 11 year old offering from the Ballechin SFTC series, this one being aged in a Bordeaux cask. This was bottled at cask strength with no color added, with an outrun of 403 500ml bottles.

ABV: 53.4%

Nose: Rotting Vegetation, Meaty, tart raspberry, slight maltiness, Bready,

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel. Jammy, Rotting Veggie Peat, Meaty, heavey raspberry and strawberry. Campfire Smoke.

Finish: Medium Length, Rasberry and Strawberry Jam, Campfire Smoke, Black Tea, Tart Blueberry.

Rating: 7/10

This is delicious. Full and rich with tons of winey fruity notes tempered by the peat and smoke. The fruit and wine is a bit overpowering the peat but even so this is a delicious bottle and falls into the dessert category for me.
