Review #35; Bourbon #19: Wathen’s Single Barrel Select Bourbon Society of Central Florida

Background: I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my reviews. Wathen’s is a Non distilling producer that contracts their mashbill out to be produced. We do not know who produces this bourbon for them.

Nose: Earthy, Oak, hint of caramel but the Earthyness over powers everything and not a good earthy

Palate: Tannic, Earthy, light barley there

Finish: Longish, Earthy, Grassy, with maybe some fruit

Rating: 4/10

From my scotch time I like some earthiness but not this, this was almost a rotting wood earthiness. The only thing I have got this from before is a bad ER bottle so my guess is an ER pick?
