Review #345; Scotch #126: GlenAllachie 13yr 2006 “Ralfy 10th Anniversary”

This is a 13 year old GlenAllachie Single Cask, aged in an Olroso Puncheon and bottled for Ralfy.coms 10th anniversary. Bottled at cask strength with no additives.

ABV: 60.4%

Nose: Tart Rasberry, Nutmeg, Fig, Blueberries, Baking Spices, dark chocolate.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, warm, figs, Tart Blueberries, black pepper, dark chocolate.

Finish: Medium Length finish, nutmeg, fig, warm, tart raspberry, black pepper.

Rating: 7/10

This is really good, and I wish I had a bottle. Really good flavors, great cask influence with some depth and sweet notes to balance out the savory. The definition of a nice younger sherry bomb.
