Review #333; Scotch #119: Blackadder Red Snake Cask #49

This is a sourced single malt from Blackadder. This was aged with NAS, in a FF ex-bourbon cask, and bottled with no color added, non chill filtered, and bottled at cask strength.

ABV: 61.1%

Nose: Slight Brine, Red Licorice, Vanilla, slight oil, cereals.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, tangy. Orange Rind, Vanilla cream, Black Pepper, malt, dark chocolate.

Finish: Medium Length, Citrus, Vanilla, Black Pepper, Malt, Oak Spice.

Rating: 6/10

This is good, it shows some good characteristics of a FF-ex bourbon barrel, and hits the right combo of malt and barrel influence. Blackadder in general has shown me they do well in picking casks.
